Is the Perfect Diet Tracker suitable for everyone?

The Perfect Diet Tracker is suitable for the vast majority of users, however there are a few exceptions.

The software should only be used by adults over the age of 18, and should not be used by pregnant or nursing mothers. You should always consult your doctor before making changes to your diet.

The Harris Benedict Equation is very accurate in all but the most extreme cases. If you are either very muscular, or very fat (morbidly obese) we recommend you consult your doctor before starting any diet, and work with their suggested calorie intake level.

Why does the Perfect Diet Tracker refuse to go below 1200 / 1800 calories?

Research indicates that if you go below a certain calorie intake your body enters a 'starvation mode', your body lowers your metabolic rate and tries to conserve energy. You have less energy, stop losing weight and plateau. Just what you want to avoid when trying to lose weight!

It is a common misconception that eating a lot less will result in a faster weight loss, in many cases eating more may actually help you. You should always aim to eat all of your daily calorie allowance.

If you find the software is limiting your weight loss consider increasing your activity level as this will in turn increase your daily calorie allowance.

Is the registration charge a 'one off' charge

Yes. The registration charge is a single, one off charge for a registration key for the software.

How long will it take to get an activation key?

All online stores selling the software are required to deliver the software instantly. You will get an email shortly after your purchase with your unlock key in it, simply enter this key into the software to activate it.

Are the order forms secure?

Absolutely. All your information is encrypted and sent using the highest levels of security available.

Will I need a separate license for the Windows, Mac OS X or Linux versions?

No, if you change your computer from a Windows PC to an Apple Mac or Linux system (or vice versa) you will be able to take your Perfect Diet Tracker with you.

How many computers can I use the registration key on?

You are licensed to use the key on up to two computers (a desktop and a laptop) owned by you. If you change your computer you must uninstall the Perfect Diet Tracker from the original computer before installing on the new one.

Where can I find the manual / documentation for the software?

The software documentation can be found here. The software is designed to be very easy to use, so you should not need to refer to the documentation to use most of the features.
